Jordan River Baptism

When Jesus was baptized in the Jordan River, the Holy Spirit descended like a dove and the voice of the Father from heaven said, “This is my beloved Son in whom I am well pleased.” God is one being but three Persons. He is three in one: a Father who loves His Son, a Son who delights In obeying His Father, and a Spirit who energizes and spreads such love.

It was a privilege to baptize five from IBC in the Jordan River this week. The heavens didn’t open, but the sun came out and our tour group had a blessed Service witnessing their public testimony.

Jordan River Baptism

All five had previously accepted Christ as Savior but not yet been baptized by immersion. Each stated the Gospel, “Christ died for my sins and rose from the dead.” When asked, “Have you trusted Christ as your personal Lord and Savior?” they heartily affirmed, “Yes I have.”

Jeff, Lu, and Jie Eaves and George and Paula Susat

Praise God for Jeff, Lu, and Jie Eaves and George and Paula Susat who were pleased to give their testimonies and be baptized in the Jordan. Our Jewish guide seemed impressed and noticed the support from the other 42 in our group, who applauded and sang “I have decided to follow Jesus. “ It was a joyful time.

Today, the Mount of Olives, Gethsemane, and the Old City and Jerusalem.

Shalom!
